Pan Starrs Comet.....you elusive little.....
After a month of cloudy skies at last we saw Pan Starrs comet last night. Tonight we decided to try and photograph it. Visible just about with the naked eye it was a challenge to a) find it with the camera b) have any chance of being in focus c) stop the bored dog throwing balls at the tripod ( grrr)
We also saw an amazing view of Jupiter with the 4 moons but still need to get that attachment for the telescope.
So one very happy husband ( whose photo's were better than mine ) ansd a very happy me.
The lower blob with the taily thing just above the trees is the comet and above it and to the left , the other smudgy thing is apparently the Andromeda galaxy. ( Teacher or no the poor guy has failed to teach me much astronomy over the years !)
