Globular*

Another mild but murky day. It was so warm last night we were flinging off bed clothes!  The grey is getting to me but there's just been a pinkish sunset so maybe tomorrow will be shepherd's delight. Himself was looking for worktop wood and most importantly, someone who will cut said wood to the length he wants, easier said than done. On their websites they all offer this service but when asked seem amazed at such a suggestion. I  left him to it and did a circuit major, over passed the stone circle and then round the usual route. The water was still and limpid and there were eight little seabirds, guillemots I think, bobbing and diving together  - plus the Great Northern Diver who keeping was himself aloof from all those goings on.

A peek into the Heron Gallery window where the globular fairlylights were looking suitably festive - the stone circle too getting ready for the usual solstice shenanigans.

* such a weird word, I just had to check I'd used it correctly, I have.
