Now, where was I...? Oh yes....
A day that was largely taken up with notching up the lads' 17th Scottish fitba league ground.
A bus into town; lunch at Hers before we boarded a bus to Livingston to see Hearts take on the club formerly known as Meadowbank. A bright sunny trip through West Lothian, picking up a fair few other maroon and white wearing passengers.
Tom was delighted that we had to go through the shopping centre on the way to the game; quietly compiling a list of shops to visit at full time.
As it was cold, we timed our arrival for 1458 and sat down as the game kicked off ( we even managed to see Alex's coach and a couple of team mates queueing to get in.)
Hearts were awful in the 1st half; Scotland's #1 kept them in the game with 3 saves in a minute in what was a quite magnificent passage of play.
Predictably Livvy were left rueing their inability to score in the 1st half when a revitalised Hertz took the lead 4 minutes after half time and in the proverbial game of 2 halves battered Livingston but couldn't score any more (well they did bring on big Armand, what did you expect???)
Pausing briefly to snap an abandoned trolley, Tom plotted our route through some retail outlets (new football boots, anyone?) to some food. Nando's was a half hour wait, so they settled on Mcds and then an X22 and a 19 got us home in time for physics homework and finding school uniforms for Monday morning.
Alex wears his heart on his sleeve chest
