Winter has it's Moments too.

I know everyone loves summer...and I do too, but winter certainly has it's moments.  One of these was this afternoon.  M was in the study and I could hear the sound of some beautiful carols drifting through into the kitchen where I was busy making mince pies (thank you W for the recipe).  The sun had set but the sky still showed a slight glow on the horizon and Venus had made an appearance and was shining bright above the houses opposite.  The kitchen was filled with the scent of baking and Ziggy was curled up on the bar stool keeping me company.  It all felt very satisfying and cosy.
