43 Spring Gardens

…….exceptionally elaborate dont you think, and no, its not where me and my girlfriends went for our Christmas lunch today lol.  

This is Rio Ferdinands’ restaurant, Rosso in City Centre Manchester. It does have a good reputation I believe, quite pricey though ;-) 

We had decided that we fancied steak for this get together so had pre booked at the newly opened branch of Miller & Carter.  We met up just before our reservation time, I was there first……the restaurant looked to be in darkness, but I was a bit early. Soon became apparent that there was no one home and we were not going to be dining there! Very annoying and unprofessional……yes, things happen, but not a phone call, an email, not even a notice on the door by way of an explanation. We wandered a while and stumbled on Vincenzo’s Trattoria……Santa was sat inside folding napkins, so we took that as a good sign. Turned out to be a super good decision, fabulous food, surroundings, staff, wine, nothing not to like. We will definitely go again. Needless to say we all had a lovely time…….we did all do flow tests yesterday to be on the safe side too. 

Back home before 6…….finished off wrapping the last couple of xmas pressies…..note to self,  stopping buying more!! 

Its now 9.30 and am yet to have anything else to eat, think its going to be a few crackers with a bit of cheese at some point. 

Feeling quite tired tbh……must get to bed at a reasonable time tonight, work in the morning lol!
