At the bottom

A couple of weeks ago when I was on a jog in the Woodlands Park area, I met someone with whom I'd worked in a number of different settings over many years, but had not seen very often recently. She lives in this area also, and later sent me a note suggesting a nice route. 

Today I went on the route she suggested which is nice circuit taking just over a half hour with camera stops and walking the big uphills. At the lowest point on the well formed track through the bush (which is the link between two roads that also meet at a nearby roundabout) is a small stream flowing fast at the moment because of almost a week of heavy rain. 

My blip is a shot of the stream from the track. I've added an extra of a pair of nesting goldfinches which I saw a little later.
