A site for sore eyes

“We’ll be all finished and off site by September”, they said.  “Oh yes, definitely all done by October.”  “Everything will be done by November, you mark my words.”  “We’ll be gone by early December, in fact, by Christmas, the compound will all be finished and grassed.”  Well, at the moment, January looks more likely.  To be fair, they’ve moved three large Portakabins away, plus a toilet block, plus lots of piles of earth, sand and bricks.  They needed a crane and big truck for those whilst this small Portakabin was towed in behind a pick-up, with the loos on the back.  The other half of the compound is now empty and they’ve nearly completed all the kerbing and ironworks, so we may get the final road surface soon.  It’ll be good when it’s all done but in the meantime they’ve also removed the mains electricity from the compound which means they have to start a portable generator early every morning.  At least we don’t need to use an alarm clock.

Does anyone else always read those as ‘Totlets’ instead of ‘Toilets’?
