Murmuration (and more scenes of devastation)

A lateral flow test this morning, before going down to Alnwick to visit Frank and Rena - enjoyed catching up over coffee and cake, and a cheeky festive sherry. So good to see that Frank is well on the road to recovery after his heart attack at the beginning of last month.

On the way back, on the road past Ross Castle, a small murmuration. MrM stopped the car and opened the window, and there was time for a couple of quick snaps before the birds flew away in to the distance!

Beside the same road, before storm Arwen, was a forest. Horrified to see how many trees were simply snapped in half by the wind (extra). Devastation like this all over the county - no doubt if it were in the south of England, it would have reached the news.

Lovely view over Glendale (extra) from the Ross Castle road, especially when the sun's shining!
