Anticyclonic murk
The sun shone here on the top of Cleeve Hill today. I know because our son in law sent us a photo of the dawn on his very early morning run! I have also seen stunning sunny pictures from Portobello too! We are very envious!
Radio is my preferred broadcast medium. Today I made an exception to watch the last Andrew Marr programme. I liked the valedictory montage and his deflection of any praise received to the production team we only ever read about in the credits!
I am of an age when Sunday was a very quiet day. My native Gaelic speaking grandfather used to draw the blinds of the front room on Sundays. Maybe there is something to be said about making Sundays different again? If that was to happen perhaps there would be no need for a rolling news programme on Sunday at all? (Many of our European neighbouring countries have made a much better job of making Sundays different than the U.K.)
T made excellent progress with prepping the children’s guest room now the beds are installed. I put up some more of our pictures as bit by bit we continue to make our new house feel familiarly homely ahead of all our children’s return over Christmas.
Our afternoon walk was in the chilly murk, trapped below the Cotswold escarpment.
BBC Sports Personality of the year awaits us all on our tv screens this evening.
