Another Inversion Day

On a very sunny day in December  and mist in the valleys I decided to check out a nearby hill that I had read you could drive to the top of. The aim being, to  bring my partially sighted friend to the top of a hill the easy way.  We ignored a sign saying "Authorised Vehicles Only" , drove up the track to a radio beacon and then walked the last 1.5km to the top of Whinfell Beacon. In extras is a photo marked -  Car is here. My car is the dot above the C. I conclude I could get my friend to C but not to the top of Whinfell Beacon.  Its a class 4 Tump which is not that interesting but the view was good . This is looking south, possibly Morecambe Bay in the distance under cloud
