Checking out the accommodations!

Imagine my delight when Mr and Mrs Bluebird were looking at the two houses we have for them.   There are actually four birds as we saw them at both the houses but these shots are of the house closest to the window.    Luckily for me they did not seem to see me standing with the lens up against the glass so I could be closer.   

I think this is a great way to start the week!!     

We also have winter now...for a few days!   The wind is blowing cold and the air is really nippy!       Maybe that is why these birds were checking out a place to be warm!  

I found a lemon meringue pie recipe to use two of my lemons from my tree.   I am going to attempt to make my own pie crust.  I hope my Mom is looking over my shoulder and helping me because my crusts usually are not good.  She actually told me once to just let her make the crusts and freeze them for me.  I told her to just make the pie, I would buy the ingredients!    It worked that way for a long time!
