Errands

Had to run a few errands today ahead of the ice storm forecast for tomorrow. A quick stop at the homestead to ensure oil levels, heat pumps and security is all good. Made me a bit sad to walk into my parents house and they aren’t there. There’s no Christmas Tree, no Winter Solstice celebrations. Just an empty house.

It’s a bitter pill. It makes me sad. Family is what Christmas is to me. It’s not the same this year.
