I love Maine, I do. We don’t have poisonous snakes or Spiders. There are no alligators in our lakes. We typically avoid tornadoes and Hurricanes…. But what we get in trade is COLD, arctic tundra like weather that seems to drag on from one day to the next. It’s often grey from December to March. Blue skies with warm sunshine is rare and when we do have it, you’ll see fellow Mainers outside bundled up with their faces pointed to the heavens. Eyes closed and basking in the rays, if only to benefit the small amount of exposed skin.
I choose to take in as much of our Winter from the warm comfort of our home. I will take in the views from this side of the window.
