A strange old day. I woke in the night dripping with sweat and took a while to get back off to sleep. Then woke bright eyed with the alarm at 7am. But then couldn’t be bothered to get out of bed so played Candy Crush for ages!

Once up I got my Christmas kitchen clean on - cleaned the window/door which were filthy from when the rendering was redone last week, cleaned both ovens and generally titivated

Our Christmas dinner was delivered late afternoon - from our friends deli so they came in for a cuppa. Then Eldest turned up, kindly collected by The Boy.

The girls cooked tea while I did some work, while The Boy headed to his girlfriend’s house. We started watching the Christmas Sewing Bee and I decided to grab the bull by it’s horns and have a go at the first chair - choosing the badly ripped one. It’s been a Labour of love and it’s not perfect but overall I’m pleased. Only 5 more to go…

Meanwhile The Boy was messaging. The GF has just tested positive on an LFT! He’s tested negative but should he come home given the state of my immune system at the moment. Needless to say he’s back, with PCR booked and in a pretty grumpy mood. Gutted for them.
