WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

My Christmas Look!

Courtesy of Miss Lucy’s Beauty Salon. During the chit chat I was told I was too tense and need to just relax. This was because I had my eyes closed tight while she was doing my cheeks and lips with all kinds of stuff - she is not the gentlest.
I was also told I need to work on my listening skills! She also said her boss had complained to her about the way she does the make but that most of her customers really like it.
This is 6 year old role play. Where does she get it all from?
The things kids come out with these days is far beyond what I would have spoken about when I was little.
Yesterday she was explaining to her Dad, John - who is a non believer - about how Christmas Day is Jesus’ birthday and his dad was a carpenter just like John. Jesus’s job was teaching people how to be good and kind to each other until he died on the cross.

Last night Sabrina and I spent time in John’s workshop with the woodburner lit, wrapping presents. We had to clean the Generation Doll wardrobes and cars that she had got second hand on FB and the dolls clothes that came with them were washed and hung up to dry.

Today has been a musical day for the girls, Frank has been teaching Amelia some piano chords and Lucy has been teaching me Ukulele - more role play! In the end she let me play along with her on London Bridge and Old MacDonald. She can change chords from C to G to F now whilst singing.

The house smells delicious just now as the nut roast is in the oven - Yum!

Sabrina is keeping an eye on Covid numbers and restrictions as they are flying to Spain to their little apartment which they bought about 2 months before the pandemic. They haven’t been there since then and need to carry out a bit of maintenance as well as enjoying some sunshine.  Apparently the rules in Spain are very strict which is a good thing. They are prepared for a last minute cancellation of the holiday.

Nearly tea time now.
2 more sleeps!
I hope you Blippers are happy and healthy. I know Christmas is not always a good time for everyone and I am thinking of those who don’t find it an easy time.

Goodnight all.
:-) X
