Christmas Eve Dook 2021

We should not have gone in the rain had we been a sensible duo but bearing in mind that is not what we are, we braved the rain and the dark to wade into the sea to mark Christmas Eve appropriately ( or not). Eight minutes and with our extremities feeling cold enough, it was time to emerge and try and dress in the rain. That proved a little more tricky than usual but at last we were decent enough to make an entry into the Beach House and a seat beside a radiator. Oh joy manifold to feel one’s hands and feet again but the post dook exhilaration is always amazing.

What was also amazing was seeing a bloke near us stand his phone upright on the beach facing the water while he stripped off to the bare buff before taking photos of himself doing star jumps in the water. I swear LeeAnne’s eyes were out on stalks. My eyesight is not that brilliant.
It takes all sorts but I do wonder what he’s going to do with the images.
