Christmas Day in Auckland - an absolute stunner!

Merry Christmas everyone!

We went for a cycle ride before breakfast this morning, as we knew we weren’t going to eat before 3:30pm, so thought a late breakfast was the way to go.  It was a glorious morning, one of those days where you feel glad to be alive.  There were lots of people out walking, cycling and paddle boarding, whilst others were setting up tents and tables in preparation for the day’s festivities.

The blip shows a view of Kohimarama beach (main photo), the weather forecast for the next few days, the fountain at Mission Bay as we whizzed by on the bus, a screenshot of the AT app showing the position of the bus coming to transport us into the city - included because of the Santa hat on top of the bus ( a nice festive touch), and  the menu for today’s lunch at Fish Restaurant at the Hilton hotel on Princes Wharf, where we went with my daughter and son-in-law.  All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day.
