Hebe

We've reached the time of year when plants are at their most bare and a lot of leaves are on the ground. 

Which inevitably draws you to evergreens. I love this hebe dwarf shrub. It doesn't look like much in the spring and summer but at this time of year, it really stands out with its pretty tiny oval leaves.

It produces white flowers although I can't remember when it bloomed last year so I'll have to keep an eye on it.
