Cake

I didnt bake a Christmas cake this year.

My sister did. I am happy to help eat it. She asked me to score it out of 10 and I gave it an 8. A good mark from me. The texture was a little bit crumbly and the icing wasn't to my liking.

It was a good cake and I was lucky to be able to share it.

My Pa stayed with us overnight. He never has before. When mother was alive he didn't really want to visit. Now he doesn't really want to leave.

He isn't an easy house guest.

Just like that, our first Christmas without her has gone.
