Lost in the Shadows at Dry Hollow Camp

My husband wanted to go for an afternoon jog, so we headed over to the Dry Hollow Camp property near Warriors Mark that is the most recent addition to Rothrock State Forest. When we'd been there a few weeks ago, it was packed with hunters. Not so on this day.

This time of year, the shadows of the sun are so long and dark. Everywhere I walked, the pathway ahead of me was covered in shadows, laid out like railroad tracks. I like the orderly progression of them, marching ahead of me into infinity. And I follow, of course, lost in the shadows of the trees.
