Mud mud glorious mud
Yesterday turned out to be a busy family get together day, once I had come home from my sis’s house. Middle son wanted to come with his big girls, so rather than stay at sis’s so I could go on to my friends that evening, I drove home.
Youngest and his wife got wind of the visit, so decided to come see us all too….. I felt bad as we were having a get together that obviously couldn't involve daughter as she is still positive.
We had a nice time, the girls were good company, groeing up such a lot now. oth dauhter and middle son brought cards for their dad, which are now safely positioned near him in the summerhouse, together with some of his fav sweeties, midget gems. They have. oth had their moments over the last couple of days.
On e my visitors had left a out 4.30 I repacked my overnight bag, got myself showered a d party ready and drove back to my friends house. Had a lovely lively time, with friends old & new, lovely potato pie supper, plenty of fizz, a fun music quiz, which my team won ;-) Had a Quality Street chocolate…..pulled the back of my latest filling out!!! Dentist Wednesday if they can see me!
Once everyone had left, L and I sat up chatting, drinking coffee and Baileys :-) it was almost 2am when we went to bed……didnt get to sleep straight away, was too alert, then woke at 4.15 and was awake after 7 and up just after 8. M suggests a walk, L decided to stay home and steam mop the floors throughout whilst we were out of the way.
Had a lovely long walk, around my old home town area, +14k steps, followed by a lovely late brunch, a leisurely natter before I headed home. Had taken my camera over there with me, but didnt remember it was in the boot of the car until after we set off! So here you have a phone photo of Crime Lake in Daisy Nook…..lovely walk, but very muddy in places.
Home unpacked, feeling a bit flat having had company for the last three days…..think i will have an early night tonight. Just watching my team on tv, first 45mins were abysmal!!
