Bright and breezy on the pier

Another visit to the dentist in Beaumaris, so after the appointment I took a quick walk down the pier. It's not a very long pier, and the wind was bitter, so the whole thing was done at break neck speed, with a few blips along the way.
Last week the light was poor when I was attempting to photograph the castle, this week it was dazzling and I just knew I was going to get burned out highlights, but what to do?
