A Dull and Wet Walk

Well, the weather was dull but we weren’t, we quite enjoyed getting out and just stuck to the roads and lanes rather than round the muddy, puddly fields. Bella was in the shower yesterday and we want her to stay clean for a couple of days at least!

The day started when Bella May woke us up at 3am coming quietly into our bedroom and staring at us. You know that way you feel a presence? 
Frank sent her away and she went but then came back wagging her tail. Frank got up and let her out in the back garden thinking she must need a wee. She just sniffed around and then stood looking and listening but didn’t do a wee. I think she must have heard something out there.
She has now spent her day fast asleep!
We had coffee in bed reading our books and the Guardian.

Sabrina phoned to say how lovely it is in Spain and later facetimed to show us around their little apartment and garden. It looks so nice. She has spent the first 2 days giving the place a good clean and they had to nip to Ikea to buy new pillows and a small dining table as there wasn’t one when they bought the place.
She said they feel much safer over there than in the UK. You must be vaccinated and masked up to get in anywhere and have proof with you at all times. They saw people turned away in Ikea’s restuarant. They are not going to the beach because even there she said you must wear a mask at all times and she feels it is too hot to do that comfortably so they are just staying round their apartment.

Since we arrived home we’ve heard of quite a few villagers with Covid. It makes me just want to stay at home now apart from walks.

The plan last night to watch TV didn’t happen as we were enjoying the peace and quiet so much we left the telly off. I actually went to bed just after 9pm as I was so tired. 

Yesterday I had a lovely surprise when a neighbour brought a parcel that had been delivered to her as we were away. It was a lovely jigsaw puzzle from my friend and fellow Blipper Alison (greengirl). It will appear on Blip in the next few days ;-)

Now we’re going to find a film to watch.
