WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Wooden Flower

I rather like this tree stump I saw this morning on Back Lane. I think it looks like a flower, a pansy maybe?
We got drenched on our walk. Frank always carries his umbrella but I don’t like them, I’d rather use my hood and be hands free. He nearly poked me in the eye a few times too!

We had to go shopping today as we had no fruit, yoghurt or bread left. We ended up doing quite a big shop which I suppose will keep us going for a while and we won’t need to go out again. There was an elderly couple in front of me at the checkout with masks only covering their mouths. How do they actually think that Covid gets into our bodies?
Covid is rife round here and Frank has cancelled the New Year’s Eve jam session at The Black Horse. Some of the other musicians have the virus.
He was so looking forward to it.
A maskless neighbour knocked at our front door this morning to let us know he wouldn’t be going to the session on NYE as his son has Covid. Initially as he just said hello I was stood near the door but as he started to tell me I immediately moved back and gestured to him to do the same!
I despair!
I started my new jigsaw a Christmas gift from my friend Alison. That will be another Blip!

Frank had something unidentifiable from the freezer for tea but I wasn’t that hungry so I had Ryvita with peanut butter and sliced apple on top.
A favourite of mine.

Book and bedtime now  - Goodnight Blippers. Keep well! ;-)X
