Precious Cargo

Last year Joshua purchased a bottle of 50 Year Old Pussers Rum, number 96 from a run of 250 I have been looking forward to opening it but the deal was that he would be with me when I did.
Today was the day, Christmas Eve, a Friday and therefore the day of my usual visit to good friends Richard & Jackie, Josh came with me. Richard, Josh and I enjoyed, or should I say savoured, a tot of unbelievably good rum followed shortly afterwards by a tot of good rum!
Joshua wanted dropping at the rugby club around midday to meet up with some of the Thursday Gang for a beer or three whilst I wasn’t so keen on an early start.
That’s when the box containing the rum ended up strapped into the front seat.
I joined Josh and the guys for an hour or two but with a big day tomorrow I had no wish to kick the rear out of it so left early.
I’m looking forward to tomorrow, Mrs S already has her best and favourite gift, a “full nest”. With increased work, travel and romance (kids!!) commitments looming who knows how many we have left.
