Boxing Day….

….Is rugby day.
Joshua refereed Falmouth v Redruth Colts in what turned out to be a pretty one sided match. The Redruth coach, with 11 county players in his side, seemed to think it was all the referees fault that his side lost so convincingly.
A quick coffee and we were off to Penryn for the traditional Boxing Day friendly which quite often is anything but friendly where Josh had been appointed as assistant referee, Linesman to you and me.
Penryn rugby is a pretty unfriendly place at the best of times, with 35 minute queues at the bar they will not have seen much in bar takings, nowhere for a pasty or pie, grim.
Straight home after the final whistle to a dinner of cold meats, salad and a mound of desserts.
Started my new Christmas book, ‘Sea Fever’ was high on my wish list.
