Heritage rattle

I finally found where I’d lovingly stored a favourite rattle of B’s and bestowed it on Ivy.  Luckily she took to it too.  It is carved out of a single piece of oak and is light and a satisfying rattle. A win! Plus this photo showcases the Christmas tree nicely.  

It rained torrents today, just never really stopped except for the hour at dusk when we hopped out for a walk. We arrived back in the faded light and did that thing of going inside and realising it was already quite dark. 

V made a ragout out of the remaining goose which was delicious.  We were glad that no further restrictions are coming in so we can go to Dorset on Wednesday.  Although…
