The French dinner

A present from R & S last Christmas was a collection of envelopes each containing a flag. Well tonight they arrived with the ingredients to make the final dinner. It has been most welcome to have them over the year, a touch of ‘meals on wheels’ during lockdown, to shared dinner at their house or our house when restrictions were lifted. Most enjoyable. 

This meal possibly doesn’t look very French, but many of the suggested ingredients are not my choice, so we had steak. 

I was surprised that there weren’t any protests when I said ‘I need a blip, so smile’. I think the thoughts were probably ‘hurry up woman, the food will get cold!!! ‘
