Bath Time
B and I walked at Pensthorpe this morning and we checked in on the flamingoes at the end of our walk. Usually they stand around, feeding or sleeping so it was a treat to see them taking a bath. This bird and his companion spent ages splashing and preening, clearly an activity that is taken very seriously.
The extra is a pretty goldeneye, I hadn't realised that some of their head feathers were actually dark green, I always thought their heads were black.
