hiding in plain sight

It never ceases to amaze me how well animals blend in with their natural habitat. Here is a Black- capped Chickadee looking just like the black, gray,  and tan background.
Another thing that often hides in plain sight is a forgotten Christmas decoration after I have put everything away for next year. Today I took extra time to examine the house after I boxed up the decorations. I love this unscheduled time between Christmas and New Years.
