The White Bridge is Closed

And indeed doesn't really exist anymore.  I've seen the signs around the park on many an occasion informing me that the bridge is closed, but haven't yet ventured to the bridge myself.  On the opposite side of the river, you can see where the banking has collapsed and big chunks of the masonry are hanging around in the river at an odd angle.  The bridge itslef appears to have been removed, probably to stop people from attempting to cross. 

I finally tempted a squirrel onto the decking with some whole nuts today, and they were very happy to take the almonds off one by one into a hiding place.  Need to gain a bit more trust until they're as friendly as mum's!
