Secreted Santa

Since Christmas Day the hunt has been on to track down those who disembowelled Santa- see Christmas Day blip.

Today a chance encounter caught these two innocent looking characters looking for rewards, claiming they knew something about Santa’s weight loss.

It turned out that by following a trail of stuffing we were discovered their respective lairs. Each blamed the other “ruff”ian. However it was clear that the one they called “Patch” - see extra- had stored away the bulk of Santa’s bulk. He claimed it was padding for his journey back south today (to his home: not to an English pub!).

“Fluffles” claimed they were just helping Santa lose weight after all the mince pies.

After a staring competition, which they lost, they conceded that they had done the deed. They asked for a duck, pheasant and a crinkly snake to be taken into consideration.

So all resolved in time for our daughter’s departure home after a lovely few days despite the constant hoovering!
