Last blip of the year

I am a bit stumped again today about a suitable blip – the weather has been atrocious and I did not venture out, anywhere. I mainly watched the Christmas Lectures on catch up which was excellent, clarifying a number of things I have been mulling over since all this began.
I love this photo which was taken a couple of weeks on a Glasgow Ramblers walk from Cardross to Balloch, the rain was unrelenting, my sandwiches tumbled off the coffin stone into a puddle and when we reached the station waiting room, just two of us, the other less soaked walkers having bravely opted for coffee in café, there was the incident of the girl who was coughing and snorting, no mask, and asked us not to talk so loudly because she was on her mobile. Our response, and that of a fourth passenger who looked at us quizzically, was a master class in collective restraint.
Anyway I just feel this image sums up much of 2021 – it was a glorious day in spite of everything. And I’ll just leave it there.
Happy New Year/Bliadhna Mhath Ùr
