The Year's end

Another lovely day to end our mini break - it was cold and cloudy...we went to go visit a museum about the flora and fauna of Formentera (Asha had been with school) but although everything said it was open, it was in fact shut. Disappointed kids, but they were quickly buoyed by the idea of a chilly stomp along the beach. Straight from there to the bar in the centre of the town for hot chocolate and sandwiches...then just enough time to go to one more beach before it was time to head to the ferry.
It's been such a wonderful few days - everything's felt special. It's such a silent island in the winter, and just what we needed. I feel very grateful to have had this chance to sneak away to this beautiful place. 

We're home now and not planning much for NY except some bubbly at midnight!! Not doing much fora couple of days feels quite tiring, haha!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) These past 2/3 days.
2) How pleased the kids were to see Mitch when we got home.
3) The end of another year and the hope of a new one to come.
