Portinatx

We had a slow start to the year...reading in bed for much of the morning. About lunchtime we were up and out with a picnic, and decided to try and hike to the lighthouse in the north of the island, Portinatx. The weather got better and better the further up the island we drove. We decided to try and walk to the lighthouse - in parts it was a climb or scramble, at other points quite close to the edge...but we made it and the kids were delighted!! I was so impressed by them. I'll add in an extra so you can see where we were headed for. 
Home for sunset but a thick strip of cloud obscured any view...though the after colours were gorgeous!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) A gentle start to 2022.
2) The kids absolutely loving the hike and their sense of adventure.
3) The many NY messages from friends far and wide.
