Cutting day

Took the dogs back to the field at Barkley Park this morning for some more gun dog training and to run them around. They came back covered in mud and went immediately into the shower for a proper wash as they were being cut today. Got some things done in the house ready for New Years Eve while the dogs dried. Started to cut Darwin first as he was the worst and would take the longest. He wasn’t too happy about being cut so he had his muzzle put on to be on the safe side. Managed to get quite a bit a bit done in just over an hour and then gave him a rest. Stated on Kilda who was a bit easier. We did have to go down to the shortest blade we had to get under her mats or it was going to take too long. She was mostly done in an hour but was left with her leg warmers as usual as she won’t let us do her front legs. Used the lowest blade on Darwin to get most of his body done, which was easier. J cooked a turkey curry for dinner and I started on the filling for the steak pie for tomorrow night after we came back from walking the dogs.
