Sunshine and Ivy

There wasn't much sunshine, and it didn't last long, but after so many rainy days in the past few weeks, every little ray is welcome. After my new year's eve photo disaster, I took care not to wait till after lunch to walk around the garden, though I did regret not having used the macro lens. I went back inside for it, only to be called to assist with hoisting J -  so the sweet little catkins, symbolically nestled in front of last year's dead leaf but not sharp enough to look good, will have to wait for another day. The nicest shot of the day is probably the ivy, as the backlight gave good bokeh and nice vivid greens. The jasmine wasn't bad either, but it's a bit too soon to start being profligate with extras.
