School Athletics

We had a very cool start to this morning; it was just 4 degrees when Farmerboy went to milk at 5am. And it took a long time for the day to warm up. Athletics day was held at the school today, and there were a lot of children feeling the cold during the morning. Eventually the sun decided to come out about lunch time - at which time it started to warm up.

Both boys did really well at Athletics today. Son C won all his running races, breaking 2 school records for the 100m and 800m races. C is striding it out during the 1500m in the photo on the left.

Son T did well also. Boy can he sprint! The top photo is of him in the 100m race, while the bottom is him doing the high jump.

The last event of the day was the relay races, between the high school students, teachers and parents. Both C & T were running in that, as well as Farmerboy (for the parents). At one stage the parents were winning, that was until T took off, and overtook the parents. What an exciting race - the students came first, parents second and teachers last. What a proud moment having all three members of my family participating in the race!

A big thank you must go to the teachers again for another well organised school event!
