Strange climate

I really wanted to get out for a walk this morning but I woke to rain, heavy and persistent.

I set off in a lighter shower, optimistically, and was lucky. It cleared. The sky was blue and the light was amazing.

Elford Hall Garden was quiet. Deep rainwater and mud was everywhere but it looked super. The river is nearly overflowing and the boathouse/bird hide was half full. 

I watched the birds and squirrel for a while and gradually people arrived. This is truly one of my happy places.

My gas man is due tomorrow so I’d taken a lateral flow test first thing, as requested. Fortunately, I was negative. So, maybe my boiler control panel will be fixed before long.
