Gas man cometh……(not)

British Gas rang me yesterday to rearrange my appointment. After I’d taken the lateral flow test, too ! Luckily, it’s only tomorrow.

After a chilly wet start to the day, it really brightened up so I went for a short walk in the RSPB reserve at Middleton Lakes.

It was very deserted - and seriously muddy. The tread on my strong shoes isn’t what it was, as I discovered and slithered. (I’ve thrown them away now) but I was careful and made it to a lovely spot. 

The birds were hungry and I sat quite close to the feeders as they enjoyed the seed.

After a while the sparkly light and stunning blue skies returned, as in the view of the Heronry (extra). No herons yet though.
