Stripped bare.....

A frosty start today.
The scan man here doing the cross ewes here. Only 10 yeld out of 580odd ,so not too bad. Only problem is there are about 85 sets of triplets and 4 sets of quads. As ewes only have 2 tits more than two lambs mean having to lift the extras and either twin them on to something with a single or they end up as bottle fed pets. And you are far better with 2 decent sized twins than 3 wee Ratbags.
A day spent mixing slurry again. Had to add a lot of water as it was very thick due to this year's silage being very dry. That was once I had defrosted everything.
Mrs F has now got all the Christmas decorations down and packed away until next time. The tree has lasted well and hardly dropped any needles over the last month. However as usual once I went to haul it outside there was a trail all along the hall and out the door.
A trip to fill the petrol cans tonight. Didn't get the fourth one full as the pump shuts off at £100. And it's frightening how quickly it gets used up. The joys ....
