A faint outline
As we drove to Penrith this morning I was looking at the hills with clear outlines in the bright sky after a lovely sunrise. The last of the snow was lingering at the highest points.
Sleet had been forecast, which we thought might turn to snow, so we kept our shopping trip short and headed home, just as a few flakes of snow appeared.
On the way home the sky was heavy and the hills just a faint outline. In the end we got a slight covering of snow and it soon melted away. A wet, cold, dark afternoon.
The 1921 Census worked fine and I found out a few interesting things. My cousin rang and we had a long conversation about family stuff. Now I am trying to get files in order. A good thing to do on such a miserable day.
