Finished!
So the 52 in 2022 challenge is complete. I decided not to do them as Flags as I did not want them hung up and also I wanted to do some notes on the back of each one. So they are a kind of postcard measuring 13.5 cm x 7.5 cm. It is quite something to see them spread out like this. It might seem that there is a lot of work, but one piece of this size a week is easy to keep up to and I have enjoyed doing each and every one of them.
Some might say 'What will I do with them now?' but that would be not realising the whole point of 'Sewing for the Soul' of which this is a part. The point being that this is stitching for oneself - no pressure, no planning, no end result in mind - just enjoying creating with bits of fabric and threads. It was what I needed after a lifetime of 'making stuff'. This was for me.
At the moment the cards are in a basket, but my daughter who is very skilled at Crochet (I am not!) has offered to make a box for them - ideal.
Of course some (those who are good at Maths even if they didn't study it until age 18!) will have noticed that there are only 51 in the photo. I hadn't finished the last one and didn't want the daylight to go. I have just finished it and it's in extras.
Today 2023 Challenge began - 52 Stitches. I am signed up for it but am not sure how I am going to approach it yet.
