A New Dawn

There was the most amazing dawn today with the sky a riot of reds and oranges all the way to the Northlands. I hope the shepherds took heed of the warning because the colour disappeared very quickly to leave a cold, grey sky and when the wind got up it was Baltic.

I had an interesting if not tedious morning being shunted round various NHS waiting rooms with the people in charge finally getting to use their toys. I have to go back in a fortnight to find out if they want to get out more toys. I have to say, apart from masks and open windows, Covid was part of another world.

Much later I met my neighbours for a drink in the newly opened branch of Butta Burger within Quartermile. The last time we met up like this was 2 years ago before Covid struck. It was lovely to catch up and we’ve set a date for next week for a meal. I’ve really missed the meet ups with neighbours we had every Friday before Covid. For the moment though it’s only 3 families able to meet inside.
