Shepherd’s Warning

As I pulled up the blind in the bathroom this morning I saw an amazing pink glow, so I opened the window and looked out - this was the sky! It was definitely a shepherd’s warning though and it wasn’t long until the rain came.

After seeing snowy photos from Snowdonia yesterday, I decided to drive to Llyn Ogwen in search of snow. It’s only a 40 minute drive, so not too far, and no sooner as I came off the A55, I was met with the view of snowy mountains, it was so beautiful! By the time I got to Llyn Ogwen though, it was sleeting very heavily, was windy and the mist was falling. So I was sensible and headed back home, I didn’t think it was safe to go walking. It’s only just the start of the snowy weather though, and a lot more is due tonight, so depending on the forecast tomorrow, I may go back.

This afternoon I went to visit mum and the hairdresser had been in, so mum along with all the other ladies, had had her hair done. She looked lovely, and really well - I’ve added an extra of a photo I took of her. She’s really happy and settled there, and surprised me by saying she’s happy to stay there permanently, rather than go home! I have to say that I’d be very happy with that, and have said we’ll talk about it again next week, and if she still feels that way, then I’ll make arrangements. The nice thing is that she’s made friends with another lady called Audrey and they sit together :-)
