Oh the irony

Bed time reading. Joe Wicks and a children's baking book! One might (might) counter balance the other. 

Two days in, and they are ready for the weekend. We went to thw Park after school (much protestation from the eldest, didn't want to go, too cold, but refused to put his coat on, bag was too heavy, refused to let me carry it...). Left the park after 15 minutes when the uoumgest decided to pour water on the seat of a swing. Much protestations from both. Home, hot chocolate and banana cake and voila - far happier, nicer children. Probably should have taken a slice of cake for them to have straight from school. 

Today I'm grateful for:
Dog walk and lovely phone call with a friend
Great call with a Masters friend to finish some of an assignment we're working on
Deciding to turn the TV off early and get to bed.
