The shadow knows
I have been watching this tiny zinnia keep blooming its one bloom...outside the flower bed. It has been there since fall. I dug out the original and planted it in the bed but another plant came up here. So I am going to enlarge this bed to accommodate this flower in her space.
You can see the spiderwort coming up on the right and the lilies and irises to the left.
And who can’t help but smile at the little zinnia’s shadow!
One of our coldest mornings this winter as we woke up to temps below freezing. A cold day but the sun is shining! Already had a walk with the dog before 10am when it got to 35F but now it will be a book read in front of the fire. The Last Apothecary by Sarah Penner is holding my attention. Set in 1700 London and In present time, the story is about the finding of an old blue apothecary vial along the Thames and the search to find out the story about it. A good read and I am anxious to get to the end. I am about halfway so nothing else will get done today.
Some days you just need to read and eat junk food!
Happy weekend Blippers!
