Wellingtons for the Wagon Girls

Happy to report that the girls were thrilled with their Christmas presents - wellington boots, socks and waterproofs (Nuit hasn't got her coat on), as requested by their Mum, when I asked what they most needed. Took me ages to find vaguely matching coats and boots, and in the colours I knew they liked; my friend, Ermelinda, insisted on paying for the boots, which was lovely.

We took them for lunch in a nearby restaurant as usual, then found when we went to leave, that Mickael had paid for it; he's been working hard picking olives, so has some cash, but still... Such a lovely gesture. Then we went back to their Wagon, which they've been working hard on, it looked so cozy, and had herb tea made on their wood-burner, see Mike's Blip.

In the extra, Marvão on its almost 900m granite crag as we drove past.

Gratefuls:
- having such a good time with the Wagon family, we talked and talked and talked (despite the extremely noisy table of Spanish men next to us)
- Mike driving the five hours or so return journey and safety on some fairly hairy roads
- their generosity to us; as well as the meal, the girls came running to meet us with gifts they'd made for us and our grandkids (who they've never even met)
