Vinho de Talha
Meaning amphora wine, made in these amphorae in the Adega Velha, where we go for a tintinho, cheese and bread and olives after church on a Sunday. See in extra, with Feijão, having a laugh.
You can also see a ghostly version of our local gravedigger in front of the middle amphora. He was pleading poverty and told Feijão some pious soul would pay for his drink. I volunteered and he then insisted on paying for our drink.
Lots of exchanges with our former friends in Brazil throughout the day. Not easy for them at the moment. Some folk are extremely unwise...
Gratefuls:
- Ermelinda sitting between us in church; so many coming to give her a cuddle
- tapas at the newly opened bar on the main square tonight, and a fun exchange with another table... lesson I should have learnt by now: if you want a private chat, you have to go where you're not known
- new insights into the story of the Magi (today is Epiphany) - they gave their (very valuable) gifts to a (soon to be) refugee family
