From the Orme
As the forecast is for rain all day, I’ve accepted it’s probably a time for indoor blipping, but by early afternoon the clouds are breaking up and there are even small patches of blue. It’s time to change our plans.
Somehow our indecision means we end up on the Orme, intending to walk around the summit area, but by now it’s icy cold and the sun has disappeared behind dark clouds, casting rays down on the sea through gaps. Lazily - or sensibly - we decide to watch the light show from the car, me jumping out at regular intervals to catch the different light and shade over the Carneddau.
We watch as sun and cloud play cat and mouse, each taking turn to be in the ascendancy, until the sun surrenders and we head for home.
